It's been a while, ne?
Anywhoo, at long last, an update. For those of you who care.
- School:
- Database Programming
- Database is mind-numbingly boring, but the assignments have been relatively easy. I'm doing well, but I'll be glad when it's over! Dr. Passi is NOT getting a good review from me!
- UNIX
- Contrary to DB, I actually enjoy going to UNIX. Steve (the prof) is a nice guy and he keeps the class interesting with the obligatory daily Anti-Microsoft quip, but the thing is, He'll mention something in passing and then make a ten mark question on the assignment on something. AARGH! STEVE, your marking SUCKS!
- Data Sturctures
- Ah, Data Stuctures. Basically, it's advanced Java Programming. The assignments are longer than any other programming assingments I've had previously, but it's also the most interesting programming class I've taken so far. For this next assignment, we're making a simulation of a checkout counter, à la Wal-Mart or Zellers. Kewl!
- Greek Civ
- What can I say, it's the Greek equivalent of my Roman Civ last year.
- Anthropology
- Oh, Anthropology. That-Class-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named. The prof is . . . well, let's just say 'eccentric'. I mean, how excited can you get over a first semester, first year class? 75% of the students in it are only taking it cuz they need the elective.
- Co-Op:
- Good news on the Co-Op front.... but I'll write about it when I get back from Kendo.
