These are the random thoughts of one particular university senior...anyway, She's also an anime Fangirl....FanWoman... Raving Anime Fan... That's good. I like that term.. Be afraid. When I say Random, I mean it.

Yo!

Time till I leave for Reading Week: Two and a half days, and counting. I've just finished my crazy string of tests. Four of htem in three days, plus a physics lab. Oh, and did I mention the physics assignment that's also due friday? Anywhoo, regular ball hockey season is now over. After Reading Week are the semis and the finals. Guess when I got my "Third Red Horny Devils" jersey? Monday. -_-; Doesn't it just figure? And yes, my floor's ball-hockey team is called the "Horny Devils" and our pre-game cheer, which we just made up this year is "LET'S GET HORNY!!"... The name on the back of my Jersey is "Pippi" (as in Longstockings) and the number is 411 (cuz 13 was retired)

Koyasu-clone from my first semester Comp Sci class is no longer in Second Semester Comp Sci. Oh well. He was pretty while he lasted. Speaking of pretty guys, Comp Sci has been the scene of a few surprising-if-not-interesting developments in my love life. I've started chatting with three guys: Two of which are in my comp sci, the third was introduced to me by one of the first two:

First is the guy who sits in front of me. I can't remember his name, assuming I ever knew it, and we make small talk before class. He's cute in an adorable sort of way, as opposed to a sexy sort of way, and a bit chubby. Nice guy.

Next is Jacob. I know his name because he's also in my Calculus and Algebra classes (because he LIKES them).. and I hang out with him frequently. He's not very attractive physically, but he's a good friend. In fact, he introduced me to two other friends/acquaintances, Mary and Phong, but more on them later. Lately, it seems he's going out of his way to make me feel better in light of my insane-test-week. I appreciate the effort, but it REALLY doesn't improve my morals when someone insists I'll ace a test I KNOW I haven't studied for nearly enough. Of course, he lives off-campus. Why are all the people I meet from off campus?

Phong is an upper-year student, who just so happens to be the TA for my physics lab, which comes in handy. He's also a Raving Anime Fan. In fact, he's the only person up here who actually calls me by my nickname, Asuka. He started that as soon as he found it out. But Phong is strictly a buddy. (One whose ass his little siblings can kick at DoA2 ^^;)

To be fair, I also chat with Jeremy from First Red, but that's because he happens to be in my Roman Civ class, and we can swipe notes off each other if one of us misses class.

What happened to Drew, you may ask? (and even if you didn't)... I broke up with him after the first semester calculus exam. At first, he didn't understand what I was saying.. and he persisted in the very thing that pushed me away (if I was ever inclined to him in the first place): Kling-on syndrome. It took a bit of a conversation, but he eventually clued in... but when it was over, I didn't even want to give him the lift back down south like I said I would.. but I did anyway. Baka forgot his shaver in my van. I kept it around me for the first week of the new semester, but I didnt' see him, so I stopped. In fact, I haven't seen him in ANY class except for two occasions: the first was one friday, when handing in my Comp Sci assignment. He was at LU to do the same. I told him I had his razor, and if he would SHOW UP, I'd give it to him. The next day, he popped his head in my physics class to get it back, and since then, nothing. I've heard he IS in the Regent street rez, but if I didn't know he was still alive, I'd swear he jumped off a cliff or something.

Such is my life. I leave for TO at 12:45pm friday, which means I have to skip Algebra, but that's no big deal. Dad's taking me home to pick up the dogs, then to Oma's for the night. I stay there till sunday, then my folks get home, and I go home and reading week begins. I book my driver's test, submit my resumé places, book my trip to Calgary, and if I'm lucky, meet up with Ellene, Kenshin and Leigh-Anne.

I recently got a real nice shirt in the mail from Mae. I love it. Apparently she has an identical one with the colours reversed. ^^ I miss Mako-chan. April/May can't come fast enough. That's the reason why I haven't been out to the pub over the past few weeks: I'm cutting myself down this semester so I can a) afford to go visit Mae and everyone in Calgary b) Give them all nice presents when I get there and see them. I haven't had a drink in three weeks... not that I was much of an alcoholic. I just have my Mickie of Vodka I bought last semester (still half-full), and random bottles of juice I can have when the floor congregates in the hallway on weekends.

You may have noticed that my earlier posts seem rather shallow. I can't help it, it's just how I live.. not shallow, but day-by-day, rather. I have my longterm goals, and I've worked a nice little routine of working daily to achieve them (by doing well at my studies, currently).. and I have my fangirl and other obsessions to keep me sane. I live day-to-day, doing what needs to be done. It's not that I'm a flake, It's just that I don't share the deeper issues with anyone other than my Mother and Mako-chan (and more recently, Danielle, too).. Today, I feel like posting a "State-of-the-Asuka" address, which is turning out to be my longest blog post EVER. And I mean ever. I have not once posted anything as long as this, with the exception of my days as "CrackerJack" on the mailing list "CentreNet" where I wrote big marathon posts to make up for my extended absences.. earning me the titles "Queen of the Catch-up Posters" and "Princess Marathon Poster".. Nowadays I'm just "Gawd", "Jebus", "Official Storyteller" and "The Resident Bishounen" in various RPGs hosted at YahooGroups.

I think that's all the venting I have for now, so you can read more when I get around to typing it.
